WOW! This semester flew by. It seems like they go by faster and faster each year! I am home for Christmas, and it is a nice break and it is GREAT to see my family! I am so excited to get back and workout in our NEW gym! It is just amazing, more then I ever expected. We got to work out in it for about two weeks before going home for Christmas break.
Our first time to see the gym was Saturday December 4, 2005. We all walked in holding hands and the lights off. When we were all in, the band started playing our fight song as Sparky our mascot tumbled around in a spot light. We were all so amazed at everything, the ASU EVERYWHERE, it was ours finally our home. With tears running down our cheeks, we walked into our locker room where we were speechless. I have never seen something like this! It was definitely more then we imagined. We all had a dozen roses waiting for us in our lockers, it was beautiful. We worked out that night from 6:00 till 9:00 at night just getting used to all the NEW equipment. When we were done, none of us wanted to leave we just stood in amazement looking around at everything.
We could not get enough of the gym so we had a gym sleep over the first weekend we were in there it was so much fun. It was like the old days when you played in the gym just because you love being there. We dressed up as old school sporty with head bands, knee high socks and lots of colors; we played games and enjoyed being in OUR gym together. We watched Elf on the plasma screens while we feel asleep in the middle of the floor! Although we did get a nice wake up call by the cleaning crew at 7:00 am, it was all still worth it and tons of fun. We love the gym and every thing about it, the new equipment, the plasmas on the wall where we can see an instant replay on any event, and our locker room is just unbelievable!
Go Sundevils!

The summer feels like it is flying by… I’m about to start my SENIOR year! I am excited but so sad! : ( I don’t know what I am going to do without gymnastics.
The summer has been really frustrating. I hurt my ankle last season and continued to compete on it in lots of pain, probably making it worse. Then after season I took two weeks off of it, it was not any better they put me in a cast for 4 weeks hoping this would heal the small fracture they thought they saw. And I still had pain after those four weeks.
So finally after all that we decided to have surgery… my worst fear. I had the surgery; they took the bone out that was giving me problems (I guess I did not need it) and scoped the front to clean it up.
Now I am in a boot for 5 weeks and doing therapy. It is hard to say when I will be back in the gym we have to wait and see how the ligaments heal that they had to cut though to get the bone out. After almost 2 ½ months out of the gym, I am getting very impatient. I want to get back in the gym but know that if I take it too fast I will be setting my self back and I don’t need ANY more set backs! My only fear now is that I will not be ready for my senior year and I hate that! Well hopefully things only get better from here! I get my boot off on August 1 so I will then let ya’ll know how it is!
Other then that I have been here in Arizona all summer battling the HEAT! Haha I love it though. I did go home for a little bit at the beginning of the summer to see my family. Now I am just taking two summer class, doing what I can to try and stay in shape and working at Mountain Side Fitness as a personal trainer ( it is sooooooo much fun! ) I will keep you posted on my ankle!

This year has started off so fast we are already done with recruiting and just finished our 5th week of official practice. We have gotten a verbal from Nicole Harris and Ashley Hinkle! We are so excited they are going to be SUNDEVILS next year.
Although our team is small we are looking really good early off. We all came in the gym strong and ready to go! We had our annual camping trip A few weeks ago, we had so much fun. We all made our own food over the fire, played games and enjoyed the out doors. We set up tents all by ourselves and camped out for one night.
Just last Wednesday we had a team Halloween party it was so much fun. We had a game of Fear Factor it was so gross but we had a great time making a mess and laughing at each other. My boyfriend and I won but it was very close between us and Josie and her boyfriend! I don’t have the pictures back yet but I will get them soon, I am sure they are hilarious. As far as school we are about a little more then half way done so just have to hang in there for the last few weeks. Tonight is the Cal. vs. ASU game so our team is coming over to my house to watch and cheer them on! Hopefully we win; we have visions of ROSE BOWL BABY! GO DEVILS!
Have a great Day!

Today has been a relaxing day (we had the day off), but it is also an end to a very busy week! I had two tests as well as training and the stress of wondering where we are going to end up for Regionals. Everything turned out to be OK though!
We had a good week of training mental numbers and we found out we are positioned better then we imagined for Regionals. We are going to be going to LSU competing with BYU, LSU, Auburn, Kent State and Michigan State. There we have to finish in the top two to make it to Nationals, which are hosted by UCLA! So WISH US LUCK! : )
We leave Wednesday and compete Friday a day earlier then the rest of the regions. (Because of interference with March Madness Basketball at LSU) This means we will know our outcome before everyone else!
Well, I have a busy weekend of training ahead I better get some rest.
